Lets get this straight.

Arod is an elite player and always will be pictured as one. His time with the rangers resulted in losing season after losing season. He took steroids to boost his performance and try and reach expectations made when he signed his rather large contract with the rangers. Yes he was stupid, Yes he shouldn't have done it but he did. Past tense.

For some reason, people are proposing that the Yankees fire him and if they don't, they don't have integrity (Link). He has done nothing wrong that is worth of him being stripped of his contract. I even saw one article that suggested the Yankees pay him his contract and get rid of him because he hurts the team too much (Link). Bullshit. He helps the team(April-September) more than anyone else on the team. He is a vital part of the Yanks success why are these things surfacing all of a sudden, are there really that many Arod haters out there?

What would you do...

...if Derek Jeter is on that list of 104 players who tested positive? We all have our views on Arod, but Jeter is one of the classiest players in sports. I mean, I know some Red Sox fans that really respect Derek Jeter.

In my mind, Arod was one of the few players that I was more than positive did not take steroids, but this whole incident has really had me thinking that maybe there were a lot more players took steroids than we all thought.

But Derek Sanderson Jeter, Captain of the Yankees. MY favorite player. I could never EVER see him using any sort of illegal substance. I think that would be the only way I would stop watching baseball, period. The credibility of baseball would be tarnished in my mind forever.

Why I am furious about Arod using PED's

Arod was it. He was the natural. We all saw him spread his wings in Seattle doing things we have never seen before. He quickly rose to fame and was a well know player around the league.

Arod was the guy most fans really wanted to see do things the right way(yes, he has his fair share of haters). We all know he will contend with Bonds' record for HR's and beat it. But I wanted to see someone do it the right way, not the way Barry did. I guess most people are disappointed, but disappointment doesn't describe how I feel right now. I think what feel now is anger. All these times we stood up for Arod and cheered him on, through thick and thin are for nothing, his future, his career, will be tainted by this.

Now, all that was assuming that he actually did steroids. Some of these "reports" have been false in the past. I remember all those fake Mitchell reports that came out before the real one was released. I remember, Johnny Damon was on one of the lists. So, there is a slight chance that those 4 sources were BS. What Arod should do now, is either admit to his mistakes and spill the beans(if he did) or come out and say he has never tested positive for steroids.

Aside: Anyone want to bet Arod writes a book somewhere along the line?

Andy's back in Pinstripes

Andy Pettitte resigned with the Yankees on a 1 year, $5.5 million base contract, with performance based incentives that could bring it up to $12 million. This contract was finally signed after a few months of talking. Obviously, Pettitte will be upset about the 66% decrease on his pay checks but in the end, being a Yankee is what it is all about.

According to Fangraphs, Pettitte was worth a whopping $20 million last year(somehow), so this was a great deal for the Yankees. However, I would have rather approached Sheets and have him pitch until his arm falls off then have the tandem of Aceves, Hughes, IPK and Coke fill in afterwards. During the conference call, Cashmen said that this marks the end of the Yankees offseason transactions. It was a hell of a good one. Tex, CC, and AJ. OMFG.

I just drooled all over my keyboard.

What a game

Overtime win for the Chargers, I was 1-1 yesturday. Anyways I just wanted to talk about a little guy called Darren Sproles. Dude can run but, would he be idolized right now if they lost?he did have 300+ all purpose yards but he fumbled at the 1, which went in the endzone and gave the Colts a touchback. Norv Turner would definately have been fired if they lost this game as well. Its amazing how a coinflip saved Darren Sproles and Norv Turner.

Gulp... The Arizona Cardinals win.

Never thought I would say it. They won 30-24, pretty damn close to my prediction. Just as I said, Matt Ryan rookie status controlled as he threw 2 (avoidable) interceptions while Warner scanned the field nicely. So Giants will either face Minnesota(if they win) or Arizona(if Eagles win)(props to Kevin G.). I confused the seeding arrangement. We play Eagles(If they win) or Arizona (if they lose).

Just heard Norv Turner talk about LT on NBC, looks like it isn't as bad as people have said. He isn't 100% but he will try to start. Bout time he shows some balls, I keep getting reminded of last year, where he sat there on the bench in the nice and toasty bench jackets with his helmet on with the visor ALL GAME. I thought he was such a pussy because of that, especially since your QB is going out there with a torn ligament in his knee. We'll see. I'll keep my predictions the same, LT won't do much anyways.

Wild Card Weekend Predictions

Alright, here are my predictions for this weekend.

Saturday's games are pretty intense. At 4:30, We have the most closely related game to the Giants, Falcons at Cardinals. I think Matt Ryan shows his youth while Warner shows his experience, 35-27 Cards. Now, from a Giants fan's perspective I don't care who we face but Jacobs vs Atlanta's defense would almost guarantee a trip to the NFC championship. We beat Cards in Week 12 so I'm fine either way.

At 7:30, We have a repeat of last year's Divisional game, Colts at Chargers. With LT most likely out with a severe groin injury, I expect big brother Peyton to prove why he was MVP, lets say 31-24 Colts.

Tomorrow there's Ravens at Dolphins at 1. Ravens will kill Dolphins, 42 to 14. Dolphins may have won the battle to the playoffs but they aren't going anywhere. I think Flacco goes crazy on the Miami Defense.

Eagles at Vikings at 4:30, Doesn't matter who wins, since Carolina will win next week against either one of them. I'll go 35-14 Eagles, Edwin Jackson won't stand the heat from Eagles D-line and McNabb and Westbrook with own Minnesota's D.

We will see how accurate I am. I think I will catch a glimpse at every game but I will only watch the whole Falcons-Cards game. I might update as time goes on.

Starting my own blog...

I figured I would start my own blog to talk about stuff. Hope this works out better than my last blog...
